These bilge pump float switches connect to an electric bilge pump and allow the pump to start and stop automatically depending on the level of water in the boat’s bilge. Pumps are controlled to start when the water rises to a certain level in the bilge, and then stop when the water is drained down in the bilge to a preset level.
Electric bilge pumps are battery powered and have a higher flow rate than hand-operated bilge pumps when used to drain a boat’s bilge water. They can be connected to a switch or control box for automatic start when the water rises to a certain level in the bilge, and automatic stop when the water is drained down in the bilge to a preset level.
